Alex O’Grady is a 16 year old Irish Racing driver competing in Formula 4 having stepped up to the GB4 Championship at the start of 2025.
Prior to 2025 Alex had a successful junior career in Karting, becoming the 2018 Irish IAME Cadet Champion, and winning the IAME World Finals in 2019. In 2020 Alex competed full time in the IAME Euro Series, finishing second at the season opener at Essay, before the COVID pandemic put an early end to his European campaign.
Returning in 2022 the Galway teenager stepped up to the OK Junior and X30 Junior category, racing at European at World level, where he finished off the year with a sixth place finish at the IAME World Finals in LeMans. 2022 also saw Alex get his first taste of car racing with an F4 test at Cremona in Italy in October. Having sampled car racing Alex moved to the FEED F4 Academy in France, where he was the youngest competitor at just fourteen years of age. Despite his lack of experience Alex made it to the final at Magny Cours, where he finished 4th overall.
Remaining in France for 2024 the Irish driver made his debut in the French F4 Championship, where, despite not taking part in any of the test days test days, he achieved podium finishes at Ledenon and Nurburgring.
In 2025 Alex is racing in the GB4 Championship with KMR Sport. Already he has achieved his maiden F4 win and an additional podium finish at Oulton Park in May. He sat 6th in the Championship at the half way point in June.
